The Athena Film Festival is proud to announce that Courtney Moorehead Balaker’s Little Pink House, starring two-time Oscar nominee Catherine Keener, is currently in production.
The film was one of several finalists for the 2015 ATHENA LIST– a slate of screenplays with female leaders or strong female protagonists that have yet to be made into films.
Little Pink House is based on the true story of Susette Kelo, a small town nurse who emerges as a reluctant leader of her working-class neighbors in their struggle to save their homes from political and corporate interest.
Brightlight Pictures is producing the feature with Courtney Moorehead Balaker directing.
