STEFF LAING is a writer, director and producer with eight Emmy nominations and two wins.She made her feature directorial debut with Netflix’s IRREPLACEABLE YOU starring Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Kate McKinnon, Christopher Walken, Steve Coogan and Jacki Weaver. Her television career got its roots when she produced HBO’s EASTBOUND AND DOWN and VEEP (which she also directed several episodes) and VICE PRINCIPALS. LAING produced and directed the Hulu series, DOLLFACE with Margot Robbie’s Lucky Chap. Her indie pilot BOOTSTRAPPED was in the Sundance Film Festival 2019. She recently wrapped the Anna Kendrick HBO Max series LOVE LIFE and is currently directing four episodes of MADE FOR LOVE starring Cristin Milliotti, Ray Romano and Billy Magnussen, also for HBO Max. She is attached to the film HUMBLE PIE produced by The Chainsmokers and is currently writing two feature films, a horror comedy and a family comedy both optioned and based loosely on personal events in her life.. She is slated to direct both projects.
Molly Powers Gallagher is Korean-born, Irish American-raised writer/actor, who is committed to creating stories that make women feel seen. Her screenplay DRIVING WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED, an original coming of age road trip dramedy, won a spot at the Athena Film Festival Screenwriting Lab and was recognized by the Academy Nicholl Fellowship, Austin Film Festival, and Sundance. She is a current Resident Artist at Town Stages in Tribeca and was recently awarded a grant from Felicia Pride’s The Create Daily and named as a Finalist for SPACE at Ryder Farm’s 2020 Creative Residency. Her plays have been commissioned by Urban Stages and developed by The New Victory Theater, Sokoloff Arts/Town Stages, and The Growing Stage.
