The story of Mary Mapes, the producer of 60 Minutes Wednesday, her crew, and CBS national news anchor Dan Rather. They both were forced to resign following the airing of an inaccurate report that President George W. Bush, then seeking re-election, had received preferential treatment from officials of the Texas Air National Guard in the early 1970s.

Filmmaker Bio:
James Vanderbilt has written and produced numerous films, including White House Down, and Zodiac, which was nominated for a Writer’s Guild of America Award for Best Adapted Screenplay and a USC Scripter Award. His writing credits also include The Amazing Spiderman films, The Rundown, The Losers, and the upcoming Independence Day: Resurgence. He is a founding member of Mythology Entertainment, a company dedicated to story-driven entertainment and content. Truth is his directorial debut.
