After thirteen years in prison (six in solitary), an ex-offender opens Sister Hearts, the largest thrift store in New Orleans, and offers a path forward for women like her.

Filmmaker Bio: Mohammad Gorjestani is an Iranian-American filmmaker, featured as one of Filmmaker Magazine’s 25 New Faces of Independent Film. His works have played festivals worldwide, and have been featured by VICE, The Atlantic, The Guardian, and Vimeo Staff Picks. His films have won the Tribeca X Award, Webby Awards, and he recently received the SFFILM Rainin Filmmaking Award for a feature film in development.
