Filmmaker Bio:
Andrea Meller is a Chilean-American, LA based filmmaker. Now En Español premiered at the Santa Barbara International Film Festival and was broadcast nationally on PBS. Meller co-directed Emmy-nominated Hard Road Home (Independent Lens/PBS) and, directed 156 Rivington (Sundance Channel). Her films have screened at SXSW, SilverDocs, Big Sky, and N.Y. & Chicago International Latino Film Festivals, among others. Her shorter work has screened at the Netherlands Architecture Biennale, Museum of the City of N.Y., and Storefront for Art and Architecture. She has worked for National Geographic, MTV, TLC, Food, WE and Style. Andrea is a fellow of the Film Independent Documentary Lab and the PBS/CPB and NALIP Latino Producers Academies.
