Writer-director Greta Gerwig ‘06 (Lady Bird), winner of a 2011 Athena Award, has crafted a Little Women that draws on both the classic novel and the writings of Louisa May Alcott, and unfolds as the author’s alter ego, Jo March, reflects back and forth on her fictional life with her three sisters.

Filmmaker Bio:
Greta Gerwig is a writer, director and actress. She wrote and starred in Frances Ha (2012) and received a Golden Globe nomination. In 2017, Gerwig made her solo directorial debut with Lady Bird for which she received Academy Award nominations for Best Director and Best Original Screenplay. Her latest directorial credit is Little Women (2019).
