A Mexican farmworker, pregnant with her third child, seeks prenatal care from a clinic in the “Strawberry Capital” of California.

Filmmaker Bio: Clancy McCarty is the Producer for the non-profit organization, Every Mother Counts. She began her career in maternal health by co-producing No Woman, No Cry about pregnancy and childbirth in Tanzania, Guatemala, Bangladesh and the US (OWN). She is currently directing/producing the documentary series, Giving Birth in America (CNN) about why the US is falling so far behind in maternal health care, specifically in Louisiana, Florida, Montana, New York, and California. She also directed and produced the documentary Con Madre (National Geographic) about the first class of university-level midwives in Guatemala and has produced films and photo series documenting maternal health challenges and solutions in Haiti, Malawi, Uganda, Bangladesh, India, Nepal and Tanzania.
