On the Frontlines of Change: Amplifying Women’s Voices

  • Type: Panels and Workshops
  • Year: 2014

At a time when the representation of women has taken center stage in a national conversation on the future of media, it’s important to recognize the “pipeline players” — individuals creating change like executives, casting agents, distributors and film festival programmers — so that women have the opportunities, resources and visibility to succeed in film. This discussion is inspired by Lake Bell’s film In A World…

Panelists include:

Sundance Institute Executive Director Keri Putnam (moderator)
Lydia Dean Pilcher, producer
Stacy Smith, USC Professor
Nina Shaw, entertainment lawyer
Lena Waithe, writer/producer
Anna Holmes, founder of Jezebel

Date: Saturday, February 8, 2014, 4PM
