Ileana Jiménez, most notably known as “Feminist Teacher,” has created a course in New York City that teaches high school students about feminism. The school, LREI, Little Red School House and Elizabeth Irwin High School, provides students with 14 years of progressive schooling. In their junior and senior years, students are eligible to sign up for the course. The feminism class titled, “Fierce and Fabulous: Feminist Writers, Artists, and Activists,” is a three-month-long, discussion-based class. Representing a variety of races, genders and social circles, they all take a seat around an oval-shaped table with Ileana at the head.
