Based on a true story from World War II, this stirring film is an incredible tale of bravery, strength and survival that tells the story of a young Jewish girl in France, who is sent by her parents to a “safe-haven” school in Italy to avoid the Nazi occupation. When the Nazis arrive in Italy,13-year-old Fanny finds a way to escape, leading her sisters and nine other children across the border to safety in Switzerland.

Filmmaker Bio:

Lola Doillon was born in 1975, in France. She is a director and writer, known for Fanny’s Journey (2016), Et toi t’es sur qui? (2007) and In Your Hands (2010). She has been married to Cedric Klapsich since 2002. They have one child.
