
Six women cinematographers share the complexities of working in an industry that rarely hires women.
Filmmaker Bio: Demi Waldron is drawn to stories that explore the subtle complexities and beauty found in everyday life. She specializes in vérité camerawork and handheld operation. She is currently based in NYC and works as a freelance DP – shooting short films, commercials, fashion films, and documentaries. She studied film & television at SCAD in Savannah, GA, where she specialized in cinematography. While there, she photographed over 40 short films and discovered her passion for narrative work. Demi holds 2 Southeast Student Emmy Nominations, a District 7 Gold ADDY, a Red Dot Design Award, and a Silver CLIO for her work.
